Appearance:
Ashling is around five foot seven, graceful and proud looking. Having worked as a whore for a long time he is incredibly alluring in both his appearance and his mannerisms, though he doesn’t look very feminine. He has messy dark hair which gets curly when it rains, dark brown eyes and chiselled facial features. His smile can appear warm, cruel or seductive depending on his eyes, and when he’s angry his whole face darkens. Ashling has delicate shoulders and wrists making him look dainty but he is anything but.

Ashling dresses as his trade requires him, usually wearing tight black pants slung low and a silver cropped jacket, white tank tops or an unbuttoned black button down shirt with the sleeves ripped off. Ashling loves glitter and silver, having a silver ring in his left ear and plenty of rings and bracelets and ankle bracelets. He wears a spiky dog collar around his neck.

Ashling also has several tattoos. One is of a lip print on his right shoulder, he has a small rose on his left ankle and across his abdomen is an elaborate Celtic design.

Mentality:
Sharp, quick thinker, quicker talker, ruthless. Some characteristics one needs to survive in Ashling’s line of work. He’s determined to the point of aggressive and worked under a pimp for a total of three hours before he beat the crap out of him and went to work for himself. Ashling has a romantic soul which he suppresses viciously, not letting himself feel anything like love or affection or kindness, because things that you love are the first that your enemies will take away. Ashling is a quick learner and a smooth talker and never, ever forgets a grudge. Although he is a prostitute he’s also a courtesan and somewhat of a councillor to people. Sometimes he’ll meet people in bars and instead of sleeping with them Ashling will just listen to their problems over dinner, help them, be kind to them. Sometimes he earns a bit of money but more often then not he doesn’t mind being good in return for a free meal. Ashling is very in tune with himself and his emotions, and can often empathise with other people. Wants to trust people but doesn’t, wants to fall in love but wont let himself, wants to be good…but he knows he’s not.

S E N T E N C E
Status: convicted
Ashling got mixed up with the wrong mobster. He was hired to spend the night with a big drug lord, but he did some things Ashling didn’t like, first trying to drug him, refusing to wear a condom and then trying to rape Ashling, to be exact. Not one to be made a victim Ashling took the mobster by surprise and killed him using the weapons he had implanted in his cyborg arm and hand. He was caught though and the mobs influence in court sent Ashling up to Ending City, for 20 years. He’s been living in the city for around five months now.

E X T R A S
History: Ashling was born and raised in an orphanage in an area populated by Japanese and other Asian people. He learnt Japanese and English as well as some Mandarin in the orphanage, as well as learning how to steal food, lie, cheat and basically survive.

When he was fourteen a group of scientists offered a bunch of kids at the orphanage money if they would act as guinea pigs in certain cybernetic studies. At first Ashling refused, but one day he got in a real bad fight with some kids, and ended up getting pushed in front of a truck. Three of his ribs were shattered, his entire right arm and left hand were completely smashed. Neither he nor the orphanage could pay for a hospital fee so Ashling let himself be taken care of by the scientists, who gave him new ribs and limbs, and also, a few extra weapons.

Ashling however had no intention of staying anywhere near this place which he had detested his entire life. When he was fifteen he ran away from the orphanage and went to a large city. There he tried to get a decent job at a fast food place, but couldn’t pay the bills for his tiny one room apartment. His first ‘job’ wasn’t planned at all, but he was sitting in a bar when a man pushed a fifty into Ashling’s hands and asked him to follow him to the bathroom. Ashling gave the man a blow job, and left…fifty bucks richer. The fact that Ashling had felt no remorse nor disgust at this act disturbed him a little, but in the years to come this mixture of prostitution, theft and the odd therapy session in exchange for dinner got Ashling by. He also started singing in some seedy clubs, and began writing songs. He didn’t think they were very good, but he likes to sing.
